Physician Practice Coordinator - Maryland

Primary Responsibilities:
Health Quality Innovators is a health quality consulting company that serves as the Medicare Quality Innovation Network – Quality Improvement Organization (QIN-QIO) for Maryland and Virginia.  In addition, we are the Practice Transformation Network (PTN) for a mid-Atlantic region, including Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia and Washington D.C., the only QIN-QIO in the nation to hold both contracts.”  Since 1984, we have been leading the way to better healthcare by working with providers, patients and partners to improve health quality across the region.  Through the PTN, we help independent practices to maximize efficiencies, manage population health and improve care coordination.  HQI has helped improve patient care and safety for thousands of people over the years.
As a Physician Practice Coordinator, you will provide technical assistance and best practice solutions to providers and practice administrators.  Responsibilities include virtual and on-site support and technical assistance to physician practices.  Technical Assistance may include:  guidance to generate EHR reports, analyze EHR data, identify opportunities for improvement, and provide recommendations to maximize MIPS scores.  Physician Practice Coordinators serve as a Quality Payment Program resource for physician practices and disseminate educational materials through various channels.
Applicants must demonstrate the ability to work independently and be part of cross-functional teams, develop strong consultative relationships, manage multiple priorities, and implement improvement plans of action. Highly developed communication skills, experience with optimization of an EHR system, physician practice workflow redesign is a plus.
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in an ambulatory health care setting. Bachelor’s degree in healthcare field or related area or LPN/RN licensure preferred. Associates Degree in healthcare accepted with experience in practice transformation or EHR implementation.  Experience with quality improvement and EHRs desirable. Ability to travel between healthcare provider locations within the state and/or region.
