Press Release: Vaughn Joins HQI Board of Directors
Health Quality Innovators (HQI) announces the election of Lindsey Vaughn, MD to its Board of Directors. HQI serves as the Medicare Quality Innovation Network – Quality Improvement Organization for Maryland and Virginia and a Practice Transformation Network assisting practices in Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C. and West Virginia.
“As a practicing physician, Dr. Vaughn understands the joys – and the challenges – of primary care. We welcome his perspectives on the unique health needs facing our communities,” said Donald A. Glozer, MHA, FACHE, HQI’s President and Chief Executive Officer.
Dr. Vaughn, of Suffolk, joined the Board in 2018. He has more than 25 years of experience as a family physician and leader within Sentara Medical Group. Currently, Dr. Vaughn juggles patient care responsibilities while serving as the Associate Medical Director for Sentara Medical Group and Chairman of Sentara Quality Care Network. A former president of the Virginia Academy of Family Medicine, he has held other leadership positions including medical director of Sentara Specialty Rehabilitation and Medical Staff President of Sentara Obici Hospital. Dr. Vaughn received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School and a B.A. in chemistry from the University of Virginia. He completed his Family Medicine residency at VCU-Riverside.
