Improvement Consultant -
Health Quality Innovators (HQI) is a non-profit health quality consulting company seeking an Improvement Consultant to provide quality improvement consultation and coaching services to hospitals. This position supports our national efforts as a CMS designated Hospital Quality Improvement Contractor. In this role, you will assist hospitals improve performance in areas like hospital-acquired infections, readmissions, sepsis, venous thromboembolism, ventilator-associated events, falls, opioids, behavioral health and more.
You will perform as a fully functional member of our team to achieve contract goals and objectives while developing appropriate quality improvement plans addressing perceived barriers, root causes, prioritization of needs, and the deployment of resources to achieve and exceed contract requirements. You will also assist with creating content for educational events. This is a remote position.
Applicants must demonstrate the ability to work independently and be part of cross-functional teams, develop strong consultative relationships, manage multiple priorities, interpret data, and design and implement plans of action using advanced improvement tools and techniques. Knowledge of quality improvement methodologies and their practical application preferred.
RN, clinical background or certified professional in quality required. Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare field or related area preferred. Minimum of 3 to 5 years of hospital experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including experience conducting training and writing reports. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Ability to travel between healthcare provider locations within the state and/or region.
