Instructional Design Specialist -
Health Quality Innovators (HQI) is a health quality consulting company that serves as the Medicare Quality Innovation Network – Quality Improvement Organization (QIN-QIO) for Virginia, Kansas, Missouri and South Carolina. Since 1984, we have been leading the way to better healthcare by working with providers, patients, and partners to improve health quality across the region. Through the PTN, we help independent practices to maximize efficiencies, manage population health and improve care coordination. HQI has helped improve patient care and safety for thousands of people over the years.
We are currently seeking an Instructional Design Specialist to partner with subject matter experts to create modern, engaging, actionable educational assets (e.g., self-paced modules) that are based on learning objectives and delivered digitally. Coordinates with communications team members to develop strategies for packaging and promoting new educational assets to drive uptake by target audiences. Develops and manages evaluation activities to assess impact of educational assets and identify opportunities for improvement. Ensures online educational assets are Section 508-compliant.
Demonstrated ability to apply instructional design principles to create and present content that engages a variety of adult learners and promotes retention of knowledge and skills. Experience developing educational content for health care professionals and paraprofessionals is strongly desired.
Bachelor’s degree required in education, communications, or related field. Three to five years of related experience required producing digital educational content for adult learners. Proficiency in one or more e-learning development application (e.g., Articulate 360, Elucidat, Lectora, etc.). Competency in at least one Adobe Creative Cloud design application (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro). This position is remote.
