Manager – Health Equity (Remote) -

Primary Responsibilities:

Health Quality Innovators (HQI) is a healthcare quality consulting company that has improved patient care and safety for thousands of people since 1984. We are seeking the right person to help us with our work around health equity and reducing disparities in care. In this role, you will create plans of action for various healthcare settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, physician practices, community coalitions and other community stakeholders on how to identify, address, track, and reduce healthcare disparities. Examples of work includes attending community and stakeholder meetings to move the conversation on health equity and determine appropriate interventions for our partners; reviewing data to identify health disparities and teaching entities how to reduce those gaps; sourcing evidence-based interventions for implementation by healthcare entities. 

You will perform as a fully functional member of our team, working on multiple projects to ensure a focus on health equity across the organization. You will serve as a subject matter expert on health equity and assist with creating content for community and educational events.  

Applicants must demonstrate the ability to work independently and be part of cross-functional teams, develop strong consultative relationships, manage multiple priorities, interpret data, and design and implement plans of action using advanced improvement tools and techniques.  Knowledge of quality improvement methodologies and their practical application preferred.    


Desired Job Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare field or related area preferred. Minimum of 3 to 5 years of healthcare experience, health equity experience required. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including experience conducting training and writing reports. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. This is a remote position.
