Project Coordinator, Health Equity -
Be a part of the action on some of the most pressing challenges in health care today: addressing health equity and the social determinants of health. Put your project management experience, strong communication skills and familiarity with health-related social needs to work as a Project Coordinator with Health Quality Innovators.
This position supports Health Quality Innovator’s projects on reducing health disparities. Projects include a high-profile initiative funded by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation: the Accountable Health Community (AHC). The AHC we lead, RVA Community Cares, is bringing Richmond-area health care and community service providers together to identify and address health-related social needs like food insecurity at the point of care for more than 270,000 local residents. Additionally, our CMS work in hospitals focuses on using the patient voice to highlight strategies to reduce health disparities, as well as assessing and implementing a way to collect race, ethnicity, age, and language data at the point of care.
As Project Coordinator, you will maintain positive relationships with stakeholder organizations and develop additional ones; coordinate our Advisory Board; identify, create and manage informational resources and educational content for project participants; ensure timely, consistent communication to participants and stakeholders; track performance on goals and support improvement activity; and prepare reports and responses to questions from our funders.
A Bachelor’s degree in health care administration, public health, business or a related area is required. A Master’s degree is beneficial. Three to five years’ health-related operational experience or practice management background is required. Experience managing multi-stakeholder projects, excellent written and oral communication skills, strong research skills, and a proven track record of fostering collaborative professional relationships are a plus.
