ONC Recognizes VHQC in Meaningful Use Squared Challenge

Recently, the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC) named VHQC a runner-up in the Meaningful Use Squared Challenge, an initiative focused on showcasing the value of health IT to improve patient care and transform healthcare delivery. VHQC answered the fundamental question “How are YOU making meaningful use meaningful?” and was recognized for its collaboration with the Virginia Health Information Technology (VHIT), analyzing data to integrate healthcare interventions and encouraging providers to increase rates of screening and intervention for smoking cessation across Virginia. Highlights from this project were shared in National Coordinator Farzad Mostashari’s latest Health IT Buzz blog post, “Now is the Time for Meaningful Use.”
