Press Release: Clifton Porter, II Joins HQI Board of Directors
Health Quality Innovators (HQI) announces the election of Clifton J. Porter, II to its Board of Directors. HQI serves as the Medicare Quality Innovation Network – Quality Improvement Organization for Maryland and Virginia and a Practice Transformation Network assisting practices in Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C. and West Virginia.
“Clif has dedicated his career to ensuring that nursing home residents receive high quality care. His commitment to long-term care advocacy, coupled with his health care management expertise, is an asset to HQI’s Board of Directors,” said Donald A. Porter, an Alexandria, VA resident, joined the Board in 2018. He has nearly 30 years of experience in health care management, advocacy and long-term care operations. Currently, Mr. Porter serves as Senior Vice President of Government Relations for the American Health Care Association (AHCA), the nation’s largest association of long-term and post-acute care providers. Prior to joining AHCA, he held leadership roles at two nursing home corporations, HCR ManorCare and Medical Facilities of America. Mr. Porter earned his BS in Health Care Management from Virginia Commonwealth University.
